Nick Adams

I am what most folk would consider a young un in the rock world…approaching 34 and no chance of slowing down anytime soon. My rock n roll journey started in the early 90s, remembering being blown away as a wee little 4-year-old watching Queen Live at Budapest. A Sound I had never heard before watching this band completely rocking my socks off.
I live for rock music growing up listening to my Dad’s LP’s everything from Status Quo, Rush, Budgie and Nazareth to finally earning some pocket money and being able to collect my own. Soon after I discovered bands like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and AC/DC with that going on around the same time I also started getting into the newer bands of that era such as Slipknot, Blink 182 and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Music is my life and after an unsuccessful run in a band In sixth form, always being a frustrated guitarist and a keen bass player and not a shabby singer either you will often find me belting out some Whitesnake or UFO on the Karaoke. But I really wanted to be involved somehow in music and I thought if not a Rock Star what else could I do??
I met my beloved at a local gig a couple of years ago and always gave her a hand with the gear and helping with the sound (most of the time sampling the local tipple of wherever we were playing.)
I finally got into radio which has been a fascination of mine for many years last year working for Shropshire station Nova FM, I then moved back to the West Midlands in February and the unfortunate recent events inspired me to do a show from home. I have also recently done some reviews for albums and working on interviews with another media website. All of this led me to the gang here at Rock Radio UK, and the awesome welcome I have had.
What you can expect from my show?? Expect some across the board Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Prog and Alternative from across five decades from the 60s to the present day. Will try and share some stories with you and some rock n roll knowledge and a little bit of banter here and there so come and join me, It is going to be a wild ride!!!

I was born in the Black Country, but I was made on Rock N Roll…
